Threadwing turns long AI conversations into a locally searchable timeline. Find an earlier answer, return to its original message, or save selected exchanges without uploading your chats. The official website provides the current compatibility list.

Find and navigate
Open Timeline from the toolbar. Browse prompts first, expand replies when needed, and search quoted phrases or filter by role, code, formulas, images and files. Matches are highlighted inside the message. Branch filtering is available when the chat service exposes branch data.

Keep long pages manageable
ChatGPT's native paginated chats start with a conservative recent-exchange window and offer a manual 1–100 exchange window. Unpaginated chats preserve their complete history. Native upward history loading remains available. Page handling respects each service's own scrolling and message layout; available controls vary by service. Earlier content captured by the extension remains accessible in Timeline.

Export useful work
Choose all messages, prompts only, answers only or a custom selection. Save Markdown, plain text, structured JSON, a standalone HTML archive or a print/PDF document. Exports preserve available source links, code, tables and formulas. First-party images are included only when selected. On supported web-search results, an explicit export can collect collapsed source links and restore the original collapsed state.

Stay in control
The popup brand opens the official website. An explicit update check shows progress and a persistent result, including browser throttling or an unavailable check. Normal store-managed automatic updates remain enabled.

Private by design
Conversation data and the search index stay in extension storage on your device. Threadwing has no account system, developer backend, analytics, advertising, telemetry or conversation upload.
